In creating the character animation for the Capri Sun commercial, our mission was to deliver an engaging, memorable, and entertaining experience. We initiated the animation with a lively dancing sequence that instantly captured viewers' attention and set the stage for the immersive adventure that followed.
Character Development // The Fruits
In addition to Sunny, the animated Capri Sun juice packet, we developed five distinctive characters to serve as co-stars. We focused on crafting a dynamic and expressive Orange character capable of displaying a wide range of emotions throughout the story, ensuring viewers remained engaged and entertained.
Environment DEvelopment // The Island
The island setting played a vital role in capturing the essence of Capri Sun. We designed an idyllic environment complete with a sandy beach, a picturesque mountain adorned with cliffs and trees, and gently swaying palm trees. The shimmering ocean served as a stunning backdrop for the entire scene.
The environment also featured two waterfalls, one composed of juice and the other of water, with rivers emerging from their base. To further enhance the sense of fun and adventure, we incorporated a waterslide, a zipline, and a hot air balloon into the landscape.
VFX Elements // Fluid MAgic
Our visual effects artists diligently worked on developing the main fluid effects for the commercial. The process involved perfecting the fluid dynamics of the two waterfalls, ocean, lakes and most important - the swirling Helix, ensuring that the water and juice appeared both realistic and visually appealing. The VFX team focused on creating iconic images with seemingly believable physics.
REal life shoot // Connecting the worlds
To connect the animated world to the real one, we organized a studio shoot with children enjoying Capri Sun. We aimed to capture their authentic reactions as they sipped the refreshing beverage. Our goal was to create a smooth transition between the magical island adventure and the real-world experience of drinking Capri Sun, leaving viewers with a lasting impression and an eagerness to explore their own world of fruity flavor.
