Designing the Environment: Crafting an Underwater Realm
When designing this underwater world, our goal was to immerse the audience in a place full of wonder and discovery, walking the line between fantasy and realism. We focused on how light and shadow play in the deep ocean, using it to add a sense of mystery to the setting. The sunken ship, a key part of the story, was crafted with a mix of historical detail and creative style. Its weathered look stands out against the bright marine life, making the perfect backdrop for our adventurers.
From the movement of the water to drifting debris and the gentle sway of plants, every detail was animated to bring this underwater world to life.
In the scene where our crab and octopus team up to open the treasure chest, it was key to blend the setting with their actions. The crab's quick claws and the octopus's nimble tentacles were animated with a fun, playful style, both smiling as they work together. What started as a simple action was turned into a charming, memorable moment. The beams of light filtering through the water added a dramatic yet playful focus on the treasure chest.
