FUSION OF LIVE ACTION AND CGI

The guys from the Distillery in Innsbruck filmed a hiker using a custom camera rig on a large turntable. Our challenge: seamlessly transition the real shoe into a CGI shoe, take over the camera movement in CGI, and then, at the end of the motion ride—where the key features of the Adidas Terrex Skychaser were highlighted—blend back into the live-action footage. Sounds complicated? It was, but with meticulous planning, a precise previs including a test shoot, extensive tracking, and a whole lot of compositing, we cracked this technical puzzle.
